“Amy is a real pleasure to work with; she has a calm demeanor and is receptive to change. When I am with her, I get her undivided attention. She is very good at what she does, and her follow up is impressive. She does what she says she will do.”
Randy Hughes, President, Blue Ridge Mountain Homes (builder)

These homes, currently in process, reflect some of the diverse capabilities of ACM Design.

Marler Residence:
This English country manor incorporates a massive stone façade and elaborate antique brick accent detailing. It is nestled into a mountain ridge with incredible sunset views. Its elevation of 3010 feet requires complex architectural and structural design and specifications. The technical complexities of this home are balanced by the superb interior finishes. Construction completion anticipated Spring 2007.

Mountain Retreat:
This rustic mountain home features a light-filled great room accented by rustic beams and a large stone fireplace. The fireplace shares its chimney with the fireplace on the screened porch which is framed by post and beam construction. A gourmet chef's kitchen opens to both the great room and formal dining room and is complemented by a fully-equipped summer kitchen on the second floor. The window and door system of the summer kitchen allow for the space to be fully open air in the warmer months and a cozy enclosed retreat in the winter months without sacrificing the "outdoor feeling" of the space. Construction completion anticipated Fall 2007.

Private Residence:
This European-style home sits on a mountain ridge at 2800 feet elevation and showcases dramatic nighttime views of downtown Asheville. The interiors are designed around the owners' extensive collection of antiques and artwork. These spaces combine open flowing areas with private nooks for moments alone. Construction completion anticipated Spring 2007.

Vacation Home:
Careful siting of this home makes the most of views from the summer kitchen and covered porch with outdoor fireplace to the stream at the rear edge of the property, so that it almost appears to have grown from the earth. Easy to maintain exterior materials blend into the landscape, so that the owners spend little time on maintenance, and more time relaxing in their mountain retreat. Construction completion anticipated Spring 2007.
