“We are building a home on Reynolds Mountain; it's simple but high quality. Because we are out of state, Amy looks after this process for us and sends us weekly reports with photos. She's always looking out for us, and I appreciate her level of detail and follow through.” Theresa Landwirth, Orlando, FL

A licensed architect for more than 12 years, Amy has devoted her talents to designing new homes for the past five years. She designed and built her own home recently, so she has keen insight on what it takes from both client and architect perspectives to get the job done.. She follows this tried-and-true process:

  • Analyze client needs and wishes. This includes learning about how clients live to determine the best workable architectural solution.
  • Determine a budget based upon the client's investment target and needs profile.
  • Verify existing site conditions with topographical, tree, and boundary surveys-particularly important in mountainous areas where views are paramount and site conditions can dramatically affect budgets.
  • Check code issues, neighborhood covenants and restrictions, and review approval processes. This avoids nasty surprises.
  • Prepare design drawings, then construction drawings based upon approved design.
  • Provide construction administration to help manage all the complex aspects and details of building.
  • Complete the project, but only when the client is delighted.

“She’s a lot tougher than she looks on behalf of us! She just hides it until she needs it.” Gary Landwirth, Orlando, FL
